These stories are INCREDIBLE!! This author has created wonderful, complex characters and their stories stay with you after reading. Each sister's story is the main focus of one story, but the whole family comes along for each tale. The plot of each story is unique and builds on the one before, but you could read each as a stand alone. Also, all these stories carry a wonderful element of suspense and drama that slowly builds, making it very difficult to take a break to put them down and do necessary tasks -- like sleep, or work! There is a walk in the woods that turns into a fight for survival, a difficult pregnancy that exposes simmering family grudges and tension, and the aftermath of a house fire reveals surprising weaknesses and strengths in the primary players. But, remember, fire refines as well as destroys! So enjoyed getting to know this family, especially Mom and Dad Glick. Makes me want to be the support for my own family in the way these characters give to one another. Ms. Newcastle threads the beauty of God's Word throughout each story in a wonderful, edifying, literary fashion. Also, for the price of all three Amazon is currently offering in the Kindle edition, it's almost like stealing! Steal away -- it's a delightful larceny!!!

I found these books very sweet. It's nice to loose your self into this family and feel the love they all have for each other.
Did not purchase this.
It took me a few chapters to get into the first book, but then I really enjoyed them. The characters are well defined, and it makes reading the trilogy more captivating.
First and third book were fine, second book was just boring. Third book ended abruptly.
Not so sure it was true to the Amish style. This was a trilogy of 3 sisters who find love back in the late 1800's.
Three well told, accurate Amish tales, while historical in their setting, depict Amish life very much like it is today. My heart was in my throat in the first book. The next two books grabbed my interest and kept me reading. I totally enjoyed these three tales.Looking forward to more from the pen of Holly Newcastle.
So much excitement each story. Keep me turning page after page. I will look for more books by this author.
I have read these three sisters stories before,but can't find on my for some reason. At my age,I know I'm getting kind of senile,but I can remember those beautiful love stories.The Bishop was afraid for Anna to get pregnant because he was afraid she would die during childbirth also,as did his first wife.
Then Ruth and Gabe had their own courtship in another book,as did Rebeca and Daniel.
Have loked and I'm very confused.Do the books come after these or what?
I purchSed the three books combined and then the separate books to read more,before realizing I had them already in the trilogy.
Would hate to find out I'm losing my mind at this late date.
Could someone get me on the right track.
